Volunteering is a very enjoyable and satisfying way to help our dogs in need and to help make a difference. Not only does volunteering provide a great opportunity to meet other like-minded dog lovers, but you could also learn new skills or broaden those that you may already have.
If you have a commitment to animal welfare, then there are many ways in which you can help, and whichever way you choose will obviously depend on your own personal interests or time you can spare.
Here are just some ideas with which you could help us keep up with the constant demands on our funds.
Do you enjoy countryside walks? Our canine charges certainly do. So why not team up with one of our ‘residents’ on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 11 am and 1 pm and enjoy a walk in the countryside together?
Being able to get out of the kennels relieves stress many dogs experience and it promotes relaxation and well-being. Importantly, it also allows them contact with the outside world and keeps them in touch with real-life situations, such as traffic, and general vital socialisation.
Perhaps you may even have a regular spare hour or so during the week to help exercise and socialise a dog?
If you are interested, please call us on 01494 482695 and have a chat with Susan Berryman or Adam Cole about it.
As a large part of our income is raised through bazaars, jumble- and table top sales, we are always grateful for a helping hand. Would you have some time to spare to assist us with these fundraising events?
If so, please click here to find out more about our up-coming events.
Street Collections are another very important activity as part of our fundraising efforts, and we are always looking for people who can spare an hour or two to help with these.
If you can't commit to regular days or hours, don't worry, we are grateful for any time you can offer.
If you feel you can help, please contact us via our Online Contact Form or telephone 01494 482695.
